   Tom and I wanted to create a workshop inviting people into the depth of spirituality and psyche.   We can get meditation training and therapy, we can even buy organizational tools to help us handle communty problems,  but it is hard to find ways of practicing deep spirituality combined with personal maturity, within community. 
    We noticed the need for this type of dialogue at a continuing education event we organized in the Fall of 09 for 500 ministers.  Tom interacted with a small number of ministers for 4 days.   We all learned a great deal.   We especially noticed how difficult it was to articulate  spiritual depth and personal maturity.      
   This insight helped us design this study group focusing on articulating and practicing spiritual depth within our community, whatever that might be.
